Web Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually put a bet (a dollar is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that can be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like this are extremely tempting, they are also incredibly hard to win. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, imagine this- you play twenty hands and make the side wager every time. That’s twenty dollars you could have used towards the actual game wager instead of a sucker wager. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the complete house edge from twopercent with one zero wheel to a whopping 5.26percent in American. The one number wager has just a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller house advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the casino advantage can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that isn’t a error. Because of the huge set of numbers you must choose, it’s not advisable to gamble on Keno to often. A couple of times for fun, perhaps. But don’t spend all your money on it or you will quickly find yourself broke.
