Web Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two

[ English ]
  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly have one of these. You typically put a wager (a dollar is the usual value) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although huge jackpots like this are extremely tempting, they are also very hard to succeed. You might have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, imagine this- you play twenty hands and lay the side wager every time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you might have been able to win at a bet with better odds using that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the complete casino edge from 2% with one zero wheel to a huge five% in American. The one number wager has just a one in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you gamble on it, the house edge can be a huge twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a typo. Because of the huge amount of numbers you have to choose, it’s not advisable to gamble on Keno very much. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not waste all your money on it or you’ll quickly discover yourself broke.
